Privacy Policy

The New Scale is currently in a pre-launch, coming-soon state. This policy covers what we collect and do today, while the waitlist is open — nothing more. It will be expanded when the full site launches.

1. What we collect

Right now, the site does one thing: it lets you join the waitlist. To do that, we collect:

• The email address you submit to join the waitlist
• The date and time you joined

We don't ask for your name, a password, or any payment information at this stage.

2. How we use it

Your email is used to send you a one-time welcome confirmation, and to notify you when The New Scale launches. We don't sell your email address, and we don't use it for anything beyond communicating with you about the launch.

3. Cookies

This site uses one essential cookie set by our infrastructure provider to keep the page working correctly — it isn't used to track you across other sites, and we don't run any advertising or analytics trackers here.

4. Third-party services

We rely on two categories of third-party providers to run the waitlist:

• A database provider, to securely store your email and signup date
• An email delivery provider, to send the welcome confirmation

Both process your data only to provide these services to us, under their own security standards.

5. Data retention

We keep waitlist emails until launch, or until you ask us to remove yours — whichever comes first. If you don't want to be contacted, just let us know and we'll delete your entry.

6. Your rights

You can ask us at any time for a copy of the data we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted. Use the contact details below.

7. Security

Your email is stored with a provider that encrypts data in transit and at rest, and access is restricted to what's needed to run the waitlist and send the welcome email.

8. Changes to this policy

As the site grows past the waitlist stage — accounts, courses, payments — this policy will be updated to reflect what's actually collected at that point, with a new "last updated" date above.
